Where are Daisy Village therapy services located?For your convenience, we offer two locations: 1. Pompano Beach (25 SE 20th Ave, Pompano Beach) 2. Dania Beach (3891 Stirling Road, Dania Beach) In addition ABA therapy can be provided in the home, community, and school setting.

What insurance do you take?We are able to accept all forms of Medicaid as well as CMS. The therapy team is proud to be an Early Steps provider to support young children aged 0-3. We also offer affordable cash options for families who do not have insurance coverage for therapy.

What types of volunteer opportunities can I sign up for?Broward Children’s Center has a wide variety of volunteer opportunities to meet everyone’s interests, skills and schedule. These include: Becoming a member of one of our committees, special event volunteers, helping with maintenance & beautification projects, working directly with our infants, children and young adults, assisting with administrative tasks, hosting a fundraiser or organizing a toy, food or clothing drive.

Who do I arrange my volunteer schedule with?Once you have been approved, you will be given the contact information or one of our Recreational Therapists or Preschool Directors. You will be required to email them and must receive confirmation of your volunteer time and date. No volunteer should show up unscheduled and/or without confirmation.

Can I create my own DIY Volunteer Project for Broward Children’s Center?Broward Children’s Center encourages ideas from students and members of the community. All DIY projects should be submitted in writing to the Volunteer Coordinator.

When can I volunteer?Broward Children’s Center offers flexible volunteer schedules. Volunteer Hours available: Monday thru Friday – 9:00 am to 5:00 pm Saturday and Sunday – 10:00 am to 5:00 pm

Can I create my own fundraiser?Broward Children’s Center welcomes your support by hosting a personal fundraiser. All fundraisers must be approved by our Development Department to ensure that they comply with our mission and guidelines. Development Department staff will work closely with you to ensure a successful fundraiser.

What happens after all the required volunteer documents are completed, submitted and approved?Once all the required paperwork is complete, a volunteer is required to attend an orientation with the Volunteer Coordinator to review the organization’s policies and procedures.

If I am under the age of 18, do I need to undergo a background check and have a physical conducted?Yes. All volunteers working individually and directly with the children/young adults served in our programs must undergo a background screening and have a physical conducted.

Do I need to undergo a background check and physical?Yes. All volunteers over the age of 16, must undergo a Level II Background Screening and Physical at their own expense.

How old do I need to be to volunteer without an adult?Volunteers must be at least 16 years of age. Volunteers under the age of 16 must be accompanied by a parent.

If I am a student, will service hours be given as needed?Broward Children’s Center’s Volunteer Coordinator will be happy to track and sign for student service hours required by the Broward County School District and/or other educational programs.

Do I have to pay for the background check and medical exam?Yes. All applicable fees are the responsibility of the volunteer.
